Jessica Erlingis, Registrar

Dr. Jessica Erlingis Lamers is an assistant research scientist at the University of Maryland – College Park and a member of the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She works on the development of NASA’s Land Information System, modeling the surface water and energy budgets for a variety of research topics including groundwater sustainability planning in California, drought assessment in Colorado, and agricultural applications. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, theater, sports, and walking the family dog.

Jessica has two children who have attended GCDC (one recent graduate and one current student). She served as a room parent in 2023-2024 and on the board as Secretary (Appointed)/Member-at-Large in 2024-2025. In her work on the GCDC board, Jessica worked with school administration to initiate the air quality assessment of Building 90 and launched additional recruitment efforts at UMD – College Park, as well as fulfilling her duties as the GCDC Secretary. Jessica will continue to emphasize organization, communication, and recruitment at GCDC.

Nikesha Davis, Secretary

Nikesha Davis is a phenomenal GCDC parent and an engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center! Nikesha is fueled by a deep passion for STEM and education. She’s a seasoned collaborator with a proven track record of successful teamwork. Her early engagement with GCDC is truly remarkable; she attended PAC meetings even before her child was accepted, and swiftly volunteered for multiple activities within the first two months of enrollment. Nikesha is committed to bringing her infectious enthusiasm, innovative ideas, and profound care for every member of the GCDC community – students, teachers, staff, and parents alike!

Kristen Gonzalez, Member at Large

Kristen Gonzalez and her daughter have been attending GCDC for the past two school years. She has been a room parent for those two school years, starting in the Little Discoveries classroom and moving into the Milky Way classroom. She loves to see all the little ones learn and grow as little people and have ensured that she stays involved as much as possible to foster the educational vision and values of GCDC.

She has served on a few subcommittees as part of the PAC, including the STAW committee (SY23-24), the Fundraising committee (SY24-25), and led the 2025 Fun Run. She wants to continue advocating for parent participation and open communication between the PAC, families, teachers, and staff. Aside from being a parent and active PAC member, she works as a Program Analyst at the US Census Bureau.

Adereme Jones, Member at Large

As a devoted wife and mother of two children formerly enrolled in GCDC’s Milky Way and Little Dippers classrooms during SY24/25, Adereme deeply understands the importance of cultivating a nurturing and enriching space where all children can thrive. Professionally, she brings a wealth of experience in organizational strategy and execution, currently serving as an Executive Coordinator at the University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering. With an MBA and a strong foundation in process management, she excels in streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and supporting impactful initiatives.

Beyond her career, she is deeply committed to relationship-building and community engagement. She believes that strong connections among parents, educators, and caregivers are key to a child’s success. With a mindset rooted in growth, drive, impact, a detail-oriented approach and a passion for collaboration, she aims to contribute meaningfully to the Parent’s Board and bring her experience, dedication, and drive to this role, while ensuring every family feels supported throughout their GCDC journey.
