Winona Peterson
Communications Manager/Parent Liaison
Hi! I’m Winona Peterson, but everyone calls me Ms. Winnie. I’m excited to bring my love for storytelling, creativity, and connection to NASA Goddard CDC. I have a background in both communications and early childhood education and I enjoy creating content that informs, inspires, and engages families and staff.
Before joining Goddard, I led digital communications for NCNW and Greater Saint John Cathedral, helping grow engagement and strengthen community presence. I’ve also served as Director of a child care center, where I managed family outreach, internal communications, and program coordination.
I hold an MBA in Management Information Systems and a BS in Marketing—and I’m passionate about using my skills to support meaningful, mission-driven work. I have been a Girl Scout leader for 20 years and I am a huge fan of Pete the Cat books.
