My name is Ms. Kiara Clark, and I am the Assistant Teacher in the Little Dippers class.  I am an enthusiastic and dedicated early childhood professional. I have been working continuously over the past 7 years in the classroom directly with children from twelve weeks to 4 years of age.  I have my 45hr. Child Growth and Development Certification as well as my 45hr. Infant and Toddlers certification. I am so excited to now be working toward by Child Development Associate (CDA).

I am new to GCDC, but I have learned so much over these 9 great months there is truly no place like it. My goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

Early Childhood Education is important because it lays the foundation for children as lifelong learners.  Children learn best through play, and it is important that children are given a chance to learn, explore, and be creative. I love having the opportunity to work as part of a team to bring the most out of each child.

I believe children are adventurous, fearless, happy, and curious by nature. Children learn from adults by what they model; and in turn we learn from children as well. As an educator I aspire to be the best example and motivator for each child that I am gifted to share time with.

When I am not working and have some spare time, I love to travel around the world which allows me to capture some great photographs.  One of my hobbies is experiencing different cultures in their native land through photography. I love fine dining and spending time with family and friends. As a military child I have traveled quite a bit, but Maryland is my home.
