Ms. Imani is the Lead Teacher of the Little Discoveries Preschool 2 classroom. I joined the teaching staff at GCDC and have been excited to enter the classroom to teach and grow with the children.
She graduated from Northwestern High School where she took child development courses and was a teacher’s assistant in the 2-3 year old class where she achieved her 90 clock hours credential. She graduated from Rasmussen University in September 2023 with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is enjoying the continuing growth in her education that GCDC provides and continues to work in early childcare education because each child brings some form of happiness in her life from seeing how they were when they first started and seeing how they opened up and blossomed into a confident butterfly when transitioning out of her classroom
In her spare time, Ms. Imani enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends. She also enjoys self-care things that help her to relax such as meditating, listening to music and shopping. She also likes to travel. She has visited Hawaii, Barbados, and Jamaica and looks forward to many more trips to start exploring the world with her son.
Credentials Include:
- 90 clock hours, Infant and Toddler credential
- Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education
- CPR/First Aid certified
