Lead Teacher, Milky Way’s

I am a Teacher in the Little Dippers classroom at GCDC, where I will be working alongside Ms. Alexis. I have worked in early childhood education since 2002. My strengths in working with young children are developing social\emotional skills and communication skills. In my time with early childhood development, I’ve mostly worked with toddlers, but I have no reservations about working with all ages. I pride myself on building great relationships with both the child and parents, to ensure a positive learning foundation for children. I believe that if the parents and teachers work together, each child will have a greater outcome!

I am always interacting with children. If I am not in the classroom, I am participating in weekend activities with my children’s entertainment business. J&D’s entertainment is where I provide music and movement, dress up in a child’s favorite character, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon arches, and games. I am also an on-call Nanny on the weekends, and some nights. When I’m not working, the remainder of my time is spent with my four beautiful grandchildren. My grandchildren and I love exploring new places in our spare time.

Some of my hobbies include braiding hair, decorating, drawing, painting, entertaining, shopping, customizing apparel, building Lego bricks, cleaning, cooking, and being a child photographer.

Credentials Include:

• 45 hours coaching and mentoring
• CDA in Toddler
• First Aid / CPR
• American Disabilities Acts Certificate
